Terms & Conditions
By accessing or using PG1 Sitefinder ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These terms apply each time you access the App.
The App is operated by Ninthstone Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16757326), with a registered office at 28 North Street, Downend, Bristol, BS16 5SW ("we", "us", "our").
PG1 Sitefinder is a free paragliding site weather planning tool. It retrieves forecast data from the Open-Meteo weather API and presents scored, site-specific flyability assessments for a selection of paragliding sites in the UK.
The App is provided free of charge and is intended for use by BHPA-registered paragliding pilots or those flying under the supervision of a qualified instructor. Access to individual sites may require specific BHPA ratings as noted within the App.
Weather forecasting is inherently uncertain. The information provided by the App is derived from numerical weather prediction models and is subject to error, delay, and inaccuracy.
We make no warranty, express or implied, as to:
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Site scoring algorithms are based on general flying principles and community knowledge — they do not replace local site knowledge, official site guides, or the judgement of experienced pilots.
Ninthstone Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, for:
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, to the extent that such limitation is not permitted by law.
You accept sole responsibility for assessing site suitability, prevailing weather conditions on the day, your own skill level and currency, your equipment, and your decision to fly. Always seek a briefing from a qualified local pilot or instructor when visiting an unfamiliar site.
By using the App you confirm that:
Weather data is sourced from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a third-party service. We have no control over the accuracy, completeness, or availability of data provided by Open-Meteo and accept no liability for errors or outages originating from that service.
Site information (coordinates, wind windows, hazard notes) is based on community knowledge and general pilot guidance at the time of publication. It may become out of date. Always verify site information with the relevant club or landowner before flying.
The App and its content — including the scoring algorithm, site data, code, design, and text — are the property of Ninthstone Ltd and are protected by UK copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App or its content without our written permission.
Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo under their open data licence. Site boundaries and coordinates are in the public domain.
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
